Your computer will not boot!
First things first, is the computer
plugged in?< The power cord for the
computer should have a three prong plug at one end of the cord.
At the other end of the cord you should see,
what looks like a three prong outlet.
Basically one end of the cord will have three metal tabs (one circular
and two flat) at it’s outer most point while the other
end has nothing but three holes.
Throughout the remainder of this document I will refer to
the above mentioned cord as the power cord. If the power cord is connected
to an outlet at one end and your computer the other you should be able to boot
your computer. If this is not the case
perform the following: unplug the power cord from the wall and try another
outlet. If the computer still will not
boot unplug he power cord from the wall.
Remove the other end of the power cord from the computer.
Try replacing the power cord – if possible
(ask to borrow a friend or co-workers – I wouldn’t recommend buying one as this
solution is rarely the case.) If after
replacing the power cord you still cannot boot, try another outlet.
If you still cannot boot I would recommend
that you speak with a qualified professional.
